On 5 November the European Investment bank (EIB) signed agreements with Turkey to open two representative offices in Ankara and Istanbul. Operations will begin after ratification by the Turkish Parliament. * EIB total lending between 2000-2007 reached EUR 7bn and some EUR 2bn in 2007 alone. EIB
